Vaccinated Passengers from Mainland to Skip COVID-19 Test

On Thursday, Hawaii Governor David Ige announced plans to allow for vaccinated passengers from the mainland arriving in Hawaii to skip the COVID-19 screening test.  Currently, all arrivals to the state, except for those vaccinated in the State of Hawaii, required a negative COVID test three days prior to arrival to avoid the quarantine rules.

In addition, restaurants and businesses will be increasing maximum capacity to 75% starting on July 8, while still maintaining the 6-foot social distancing rules.

These changes come as the state expects 60% of residents to be fully vaccinated by next week.
