NOAA Hurricane Predictions for Central Pacific "Near or Below Normal"
05/20/2021Hawaii News Now reports that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predictions for the Central Pacific's hurrican season are "near or below normal."
Beginning June 1 and running through November 30, this year's hurricane season is forecast to produce 2 to 5 tropical cyclones. Last year, a similar prediction of 2 to 6 cyclones was issued, where two named systems entered the Central Pacific.
