NOAA Hurricane Predictions for Central Pacific "Near or Below Normal"

Hawaii News Now reports that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predictions for the Central Pacific's hurrican season are "near or below normal." 

Beginning June 1 and running through November 30, this year's hurricane season is forecast to produce 2 to 5 tropical cyclones.  Last year, a similar prediction of 2 to 6 cyclones was issued, where two named systems entered the Central Pacific.
