Located at 404 Ward Avenue, Howard Hughes Corp. plans to build a 415-unit condominium high-rise, commercial space, and public parking totaling over 500,000 sq.ft. of floor area. Dallas-based Howard Hughes Corp. will be presenting its development plan to Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) on June 19.
Named "Ward Village", this is the first step in the companies urban master plan - a long-term reconstruction project which includes development rights to 22 high-rise condominiums in Honolulu's Kakaako surburb.
The Howard Hughes Corp. project will be replacing the existing low-rise buildings on that block, including Kanpai Bar & Grill.
Ward's approved reconstruction master plan is a mixed-used development proposal of over 2,000 residential units, 22 high-rise condominiums and 1.5 million square feet of commercial space. This plan is scheduled to take place over the next 10 years.
