Hawaii House Member Pushes for Clear Travel Legislation

Hawaii House of Representatives member Scott Saiki is looking to create legislation that clears up travel rules for residents and tourists arriving to our state.

Included in the legislation is a plan for allowing visitors to take a COVID-19 test upon arriving in the state, negating the need to take a test prior to arrival.

In addition, the House speaker is looking to reduce the penalty for mask violations, where currently it carries a misdemeanor offense with a maximum penalty of $5,000.
