Hawaii House Member Pushes for Clear Travel Legislation
01/08/2021Hawaii House of Representatives member Scott Saiki is looking to create legislation that clears up travel rules for residents and tourists arriving to our state.
Included in the legislation is a plan for allowing visitors to take a COVID-19 test upon arriving in the state, negating the need to take a test prior to arrival.
In addition, the House speaker is looking to reduce the penalty for mask violations, where currently it carries a misdemeanor offense with a maximum penalty of $5,000.
