Kuilei Place Sales Gallery Opens at Ala Moana Center

Shinnyo Lantern Floating Ceremony Returns May 29

For the first time since the pandemic, the Shinnyo Lantern Floating Ceremony will return to Ala Moana Beach Park as a live in-person event. The event will take place on May 29 between 6:30 and 7:30 PM, during sunset hours.

Per the website, the event “… offers time to reconnect and the healing space that we’ve all been missing.”

Punahou Carnival Set to Return for First Time Since Pandemic

Honolulu’s iconic Punahou Carnival is set to return this weekend for the first time since the pandemic began. This Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, attendees can enjoy many of the Carnival’s usual festivities, with the absence of some rides and games. Proceeds from the carnival help fund certain school programs and financial aid for students.
